WiIP Rising Star Nominations and Empower Hour

We’re excited to announce that nominations are now open for our Rising Star Award, recognizing early-career women in Interventional Pulmonology who demonstrate exceptional promise, leadership, and impact in the field. Please review the criteria below to understand if you or someone you know is eligible for this award. The award will be presented at the Empower Hour at the AABIP Conference in Austin, Texas on August 14^th, 2024. 

**Eligibility:**
- Open to early career WiIP Members (within 5 years of completing training & able to attend AABIP 2025 Empower Hour in person).

**Selection Criteria:**
1. Professional Achievements: Demonstrated excellence and leadership in the field of pulmonology.
2. Commitment to Advancing Women in Medicine: Active involvement in promoting gender equity and supporting women in the field.
3. Innovation and Creativity: Contributions to innovative research, clinical practice, or educational initiatives in interventional pulmonology & advanced bronchoscopy.
4. Potential for Future Impact: Potential to make a significant impact in the field of interventional pulmonology & advanced bronchoscopy in the future.

**Nomination Process:**
- Colleagues or mentors may nominate candidates or may be self-nominated.
The nomination package should include a CV and two letters of recommendation.

- The deadline for nominations is July 15th, 2025.

The board reserves the right not to select a recipient if no suitable candidate is identified.
